Avion International Australia continues being an advocate for beach volleyball in Australia, as a major sponsor for Coogee Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA)
Avion International Australia is delighted to announce continued sponsorship to the Coogee Beach Volleyball Association (CBVA).
Founded in 2008 by a team of friends, including Marco Viglietta, Managing Director of Avion International Australia, the group has evolved into a well-organized association. It now offers a children’s beach volleyball program, adult training classes, and squad opportunities. CBVA is committed to leading the growth of beach volleyball in Sydney and is affiliated with State Volleyball NSW and the Australian Volleyball Federation.
Avion has been backing CBVA and Australia’s broader beach volleyball community for many years. The financial support from Avion contributes to the growth of emerging athletes in the CBVA Junior Program. Initiated in 2012, it fosters young beach volleyball enthusiasts aged 5 to 17.
Today, the program’s success positions it as a flagship Junior Beach Volleyball program in NSW, aligning with CBVA’s commitment to its future development. The CBVA Junior Program is hosting 2 Junior Volleyball NSW State Youth Series tournaments during the 2023/24 season.
Arnaud Motreff, co-founder and lead of the Junior Program said: “With roots dating back 25 years, the program originated as informal games for local children, evolving into a comprehensive initiative under the guidance of a professional in Sports Science and high-level coach. It prioritizes age-appropriate activities for personal development, health, and movement education.”
Today, the Junior Program boasts around 140 kids, with over 30 representing CBVA and VNSW in prestigious events.
Alessia Capponcelli, CBVA President further elaborates that the noteworthy accomplishments, such as earning medals and securing spots in elite training programs, can be credited to the proficient coaching and the backing of parents, volunteers, and members. The steadfast support from sponsors, particularly Avion Australia, has played a pivotal role in this success and empowering CBVA, enhancing the overall experience for its members.
